According to the plan this email is a tad premature :). We should be holding our heads on high. Wow. What a way to end the season. If we were going to lose, Renfrew is a worthy opponent. 5 0T periods says it all. We are very proud of the boys and what wonderful support from all of you. It has been a real pleasure and privilege for the coaches to be with the boys all season and we want to thank you for allowing us to coach them.
We will have one last magic ride together. I do want to have our year end team celebration shortly after everyone's return from March Break. Look for details from Jane. If you have any suggestions, please fire away to Jane.
We will not be having any ice before the March break. On behalf of Jane and the coaches, everyone have a super week off and keep those boys safe but busy.
Cheers,
Coach Kyte

PPWK Team, Greetings from the Town of Perth. Hoping the practice went well tonight. I thought we played well on Sunday; saw some really good things happening out there on the ice. The goals will come. Keep getting scoring opportunities (shots on net) and driving to the net, the puck will start going in. As we all know, Friday’s game is a must win for the PPWK ---exciting isn’t it? And the great thing is that we have been here before many times and went out and won it many times !!!! How many must win games have we been in this year????…I have lost count—at least 5 in the Silver Stick tournaments and one against Arnprior in Round 1. This shows the coaches that we have a lot of experience and that the team knows how to get the job the done. Friday will be no different. Renfrew on the other hand, while a good team, have not been able to win those big games and we do not plan on changing their luck in this respect. So, keep up the good work and positive mental imagining. Get to bed early the remainder of the week, eat and hydrate well (healthy) and remember---it is all part of the plan. I know our parents and supporters will be loud and vocal cheering on the team knowing that each of you have worked very hard this year and been a joy to watch. By the way, we will start the game off with the national anthem where all the players will be out on ice standing on each team’s blue lines. Neat, eh?!! We are not sure if Coach Kev will be singing O Canada this year, but in case he is not, we will have a back up version sung by Butch and Fred from the City Works Dept. See you all on Friday. Murray

We are canceling off-ice Tuesday to give the boys some added rest. We have had our share of hard fought games over last two days and I think having the next two nights off would be ideal. However, it means that I want the boys to genuinely rest and relax over the next two nights. Meaning, if the ODR can be skipped until after Thursday, then great.
Overall, today's game showed us just how hard working and committed the boys are to giving their all. We got behind early and clawed our way back. Now, I'd love to say that that was part of the plan, but..... I do think we will look back at this game as a turning point of some sort to when we finally came of out of the shadows, as a complete team, and gained the necessary depth and confidence. We will build on this and our opponents will come to see it as a formidable presence.
Congratulations to the team and parents once again on being honored by the PLK. It was a nice gesture by the Jr A team and we should be thankful and appreciative of them for doing so.
As for the letter of complaint re Pet Coach that I wrote, thank you for the many positive comments of support. Please know that there should be some sort of a hearing set up for this week by the league. We will keep you posted.
We will see the boys on Wed evening. 7 15 pm is fine. Please enforce rest, early to bed sleep and good nutrition.
Have a great week.
Coach Kyte
